Day 1

Day 1

Temptation of the breathtaking smell of citrus blossoms in the air being impossible to resist, we moved to the town eminent for its citrus: Shiraz. Checking into a hotel, we start our tour of the town by ‘arge Karim Khani‘, a fort left from Karim Khani Era. Afterwards, we keep on by looking into mosque and bazaar of Vakil  – these, too, are left from the aforementioned era. In the former, the stone carvings are fascinating, while in the latter, the pace of life is so fast that leaves visitors stunned. Having lunch in a conventional restaurant near bazaar will take us to the next part of our trip which would be visiting gardens of Eram, Afifabad, and ghavam so as to enjoy the fresh spring air while getting to know Iranian Architecture. Going to a café for having some tea and re-energizing, we’ll head towards the tomb of Hafez, the most eminent Iranian poet. Checking out the magnificent tomb and enjoying activities over there will be our plans.

Early in the morning, we’ll move to the ancient and registered as a UNESCO World Heritage area of Pasargad, the first capital of Achaemenian established by Kurous, great Iranian king buried here. Hanging out in Pasargad for two hours, we’ll move on to Takhte Jamshid (Persepolis) , known to be the greatest and the most historically-significant capital of Achaemenian. Having lunch in a restaurant, over a two-hour tour we’ll get familiar with this astounding Iranian heritage by the help of some of the most knowledgeable archeologists over there. Afterwards, we’ll head out to inscriptions of Rajab and also inscription of Rostam (Naghshe Rostam). We’ll be trying to figure out the mysterious building of Zarathustra while enjoying the tomb of Achaemenian kings.

Since our previous day’s trip were quite demanding, it would be wise to get some more rest today in order to be sharper for the rest of the day. We begin our visits by checking out the tomb of Saadi, the greatest Iranian poet of all times, which will be followed by visiting garden of Delgosha and mosque of Nasirolmoluk. For the afternoon, however, our activities are going to be quite different – we’ll be enjoying museum of Pars, gateway of Qoran (Darvaze Qoran), the oldest mosque of the town called Aghigh Mosque, and the shrine of one of the Muslims’ Imams called Shahcheragh Shrine. This shrine is gifted with a spectacular architecture, full of astonishing decorations making everyone wonder. Visiting this part of the town, we’ll go to the other part of the town which is located at the back of building of Karim Khan, the plan being enjoying fresh “faludeh” with freshly squeezed citrus juice.

Day 4

We leave Shiraz towards Firuzabad to enjoy its altar, the second most important of altar of Sasanian era. The visit being over, we’ll move to the village of Meimand, famed for its rosewater. Residing in a local house and enjoying fresh air while watching the process of making rosewater will put an end to our day.

Leaving early in the morning to Kazerun and the ancient town of Bishapour is our day’s kick off. This archeological region dates back to Sasanian era in which the most dominant king of that era used to reside. Nearby, there are inscriptions the watching of which is highly recommended to all the tourists. In the last part, we’ll move to the cave of Shapur which will be the last part of our today’s activities.

Day 6

We leave Kazerun early in the morning for visiting the waterfall of Margun, and then going to Yasuj, a nearby town. We’ll have lunch in the woods near the waterfall, and then we’ll check out the waterfall. Enjoying an amazing nearby plain in which tulips are upside-down will be our next plan, and eventually we’ll move on to Semirom in which we’ll be enjoying the hospitability of nomads.

Day 7

Day 7

Local breakfast including some dairy products and fresh eggs will round off our trip. We’ll spend half our day getting to know nomads. In the afternoon, we’ll go back to Yasuj to fly back to Tehran.
